May 30, 2013 I just installed CineForm Studio on my Mac. But I am not able to get the program to recognize my GoPro H3 Black. I can't upload videos or anything. Evening again chaps and chapesses. Sorry if I flood the forums over the next few days with Noob Questions. I do use the search function and try and read some other threads before asking a question.

Anyhow my latest question is with regards to editing movie clips. I'm quite irked by the fact that GPS will only export movies as.mov files. Yet the Windows version will do.avi,.mp4 and.mov. Surely they should have the same ability? So I have iMovie as I use a MacBook Pro. I do have Win 10 on a parallels virtual machine. But it's a bit of a convoluted way to get the files to be in.mp4 or.avi format.
The reason I need them in that format is because my Sony Bravia TV will not play.mov files. Nor will it play the original.mp4 files straight from the camera (no idea why) I have tried streaming though Apple TV from my MacBook Pro.
Which works OK but I'd rather be able to play the source clips in full quality than stream it. Am I best to stick to iMovie (I haven't delved into the export settings so not sure what it can export to)? Or is there some software out there which is better for me to use. I'm fairly technically savvy. So as long as it's not overly complicated (or extortionately priced) I don't mind getting something else.
But it must work on Mac OSX. For reference the spec of my MacBook Pro is: MacBook Pro 13' (non retina) OSX El Capitan (10.11.3) 2.7ghz I5 16gb 1600mhz Ram 500gb Samsung 840 Evo SSD (main drive with the OS on) 240gb OCZ Vertex 3 (storage only) Both drives run at 6gbps SATA III Thanks again in advance for any advice.
